Totally Clean Marine Helps ‘Clean-Freaks’ Everywhere by Introducing Amazing Cleaners at Reasonable Prices
Here at Totally Clean Marine, we would like to come clean about something: George Hemmerich, our owner, is a hopeless clean freak! Originally, nobody at TCM thought it was possible (or even necessary) to create soap that cleans other soap. While we shut down George’s idea right away, it is a great example of the types of things that occupy his thoughts. As you are about to see, however, poor George’s cleaning psychosis has produced some amazing benefits for the rest of us “dirty normals.”
George happens to be an avid boater who likes to keep his boat spotless. Over the years, he was never able to find cleaning products that lived up to his standards. What he wanted simply did not exist. If he was going to nurture his clean streak, he needed another…solution (pardon the pun). In what we can assure you was NOT an ironic twist of fate, George now has 30 years of experience in the commercial cleaning industry. Armed with that knowledge, he set out to create the cleaning and detailing products that he wished existed 30 years ago. After successfully testing and using his creations for a few years, Totally Clean Marine was formed; and a growing list of purpose-built cleaners that actually work are now available to the public.
Anybody that has been boating for any length of time knows the biggest cleaning problems tend to be from oxidation, mold, and bird droppings. When TCM started designing new products, our first thought was to go with something that would get rid of the birds. However, we ultimately ran into difficulty getting clearance to sell mass numbers of Avenger 30mm Gatling cannons… so, George decided to focus instead on creating a product to clean up after them. It's just as well because the cannon did nothing for the oxidation problem anyway.
After design and testing, the products in our Make Magic Kit were complete. After extended use, we found the products contained in the kit – Captain’s ChoiceWash n’ Wax and the Aqua-Oxi Multi-Purpose Cleaner – not only effectively removed oxidation and bird droppings, but added shine as well! Using the products religiously every week, we were soon thrilled to find that we no longer needed to buff the boat! We were also thrilled to find that we killed two birds with one stone – there were fewer droppings to clean up.
Once our Make Magic Kit was proving itself, we found we needed a wax that would help preserve the great shine it created. Not being wax makers, we began testing a variety of different products. The best wax we could find was Collinite and you can now find it at our web store. Ever since the Make Magic Kit has been available to buy, many of our customers who use it on a weekly basis have reported the same results we achieved – they saved money overall by extending the need for buffing their boat! Obviously, if you only wash your boat with our products occasionally, you and your buffer are going to remain close friends.
There are even more benefits to our Aqua-Oxi product beyond removing oxidation and bird dung. It also kills mold, removes carpet stains, is great for cleaning bathrooms, and wipes out the hard-to-remove scum on the bottom of dinghies at the end of the season. One doesn’t need to be a clean freak to want a clean dinghy. In addition, when mixed with our Bilge & Deck Cleaner, Aqua-Oxi is perfect for cleaning diesel smoke residue on the hull, and makes quick work of dirty swim platforms.
